Coachella 2013 -The Trends

It's hard to believe that Coachella, a music festival in California, is in fact a music festival. It seems that Coachella has become quite the fashion show. The past two scorching hot weekends saw festival goers in anything from short shorts to maxi dresses, crop tops, prints, wide leg pants, and it wasn't a surprise that hats and statement sunglasses were a top trend.

The statement sunnies would have to be my favourite trend from Coachella 2013. I'm still undecided whether or not I like the crop top trend but, hey, if there's one place crop tops and belly buttons are acceptable it is at a music festival!

What was your favourite trend?

A/W 2013 Westfield West Lakes Parade

Last week was my first week working as an intern with the Westfield Style Team alongside head stylist, Kylie Crabtree. The week consisted of organising the Autumn/Winter 2013 Parade to be held at Westfield West Lakes. We had to pull and style 60 outfits in six different trends (ten outfits per trend). The trends chosen were military, leather, print-on-print, floral, gothic romance and opulence.

After four days of prep, model fittings, and rehearsals we were ready for the parade; the VIP event. The event, hosted by Kylie Crabtree and SAFM's Alexis Kuchel, was complete with champagne, cupcakes, and macarons. Amity Dry (best known as a contender on The Block) opened the event with a song which was then followed by the A/W Parade.

The first four photos are my own and the following are taken from Westfield West Lakes Facebook page. Enjoy!
